Availability at the time.
Accommodation too small for our liking. Having to choose breakfast the night before. Bathroom too small in room 6. Lack of atmosphere and conversation from the proprietors. Accommodation in need of an update

Very impressed with the Hillcrest. The bedroom we stayed in was spotless and the bed so comfortable! The towels were lovely and thick and the toiletries provided were also a very nice touch. We loved the breakfast and we felt like the hotel was home from home. An altogether very pleasant experience. Many thanks to the owners - I'm sure we will be staying again in the near future.
The only thing I can think of that we could fault is the bar being unmanned on the saturday night when we wanted to stay in the hotel and have a drink. To be fair, I don't really think the hotel is to blame for this as it's not a big establishment and I'm guessing the owners wanted to have some relaxing time themselves. I do think, they should change their policy of not allowing guests to drink alcohol in their rooms, if the bar is unattended.

A fantastic homely guest house close to peasholm park in a lovely residential area. 2 min walk to the beach but far enough away to be away from all the noise . We booked two rooms and they were both furnished to a high standard and extremely well looked after. The breakfast was delicious and the owners were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

The hotel was located in a quiet residential area, which was perfect for a peaceful getaway. It was also very close to Peasholm park, where I enjoyed lovely walks and nature. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The rooms were well-maintained and featured a very comfortable bed, ensuring a great night's sleep. Another highlight was the delicious breakfast spread, with just the right amount of food to start the day off right.
All was perfect, no complaints at all.

I had a fantastic weekend at a charming B&B in Scarborough. The couple who run the place were friendly and accommodating. They made me feel right at home and were really nice too ensure my stay was perfect. The breakfast was excellent, with thick bacon and fresh farm eggs. The location was also ideal, close to Peasholm Park and the beach. The hosts were helpful and gave great recommendations for things to do in the area. I had a lovely weekend and I highly recommend this hidden gem of a place. I'll definitely be returning soon!

it was welcoming, clean and homely in a lovely convenient and peaceful area. We particularly liked the room and view. Had a comfortable and restful night.
Despite booking information given we were unable to comunicate directly with the Hillcrest by telephoneto let them know our arrival time. This was greatly inconvenient for us and the Hillcrest.
